Professional Education

UCCE teachers engage in graduate level coursework at their respective institutions to develop their capabilities as Catholic school educators. Teachers also spend two years serving as PK-12 Catholic school teachers who contribute to promoting and enriching their Catholic school communities as teachers, campus ministers, coaches, extracurricular club moderators, among other responsibilities.

Community Living

UCCE teachers live in an intentional Christian community with fellow program participants both to support and challenge one another as they grow into the teachers that God is calling them to be. UCCE communities become powerful centers of personal and communal growth through living simply and encouraging teacher's professional and spiritual development.

Spiritual Growth

UCCE teachers commit to sharing and deepening their faith and spiritual lives. Each UCCE member institution utilizes the traditions of its founding religious order to support teachers in recognizing God in all things and continually responding to the call to teach as Jesus did.
