OUR MISSION
The University Consortium for Catholic Education (UCCE) establishes and supports a collaborative effort amongst select Catholic institutions as they design and implement graduate level teaching service programs for the purpose of supporting PK-12 Catholic education in the United States. At the heart of the UCCE is the recruitment, education, and formation of faith communities of talented and committed teachers to revitalize Catholic schools across the country.
OUR THREE PILLARS
Professional Education
High quality professional preparation and graduate coursework provides the tools for effective teaching.
|
Community Living
Community life with fellow teachers allows for sharing the joys & challenges of beginning teaching with others.
|
Spiritual Growth
Opportunities for spiritual growth help teachers become reflective practitioners and models of faith in action.
|
OUR TEACHERS
All University Consortium for Catholic Education (UCCE) programs are seeking energetic, passionate leaders who welcome the challenges of beginning teaching, who are able to create community both where they live and in the schools in which they serve, and who are eager to grow in their faith.
UCCE teachers do not fit into a mold, nor is there a "typical" prospective candidate. During the 2023-24 academic year, the UCCE welcomed 341 teachers who served in 272 Catholic schools across 50 + (arch)dioceses serving nearly 20,000 students. We welcome graduates from nearly every academic discipline to serve as PK-12 Catholic school teachers who bring hope to the communities and schools they serve.
